How to Donate
We treasure your donations and work hard to earn them. We rescue dozens of horses each year, thanks to you!
Forgotten Horses Rescue is run by Trish Geltner, a lifetime horse lover and western horse trainer, and her husband and fellow rider, Greg. Trish’s professional experience enables her to evaluate and care for these often broken and dispirited horses, and rehab and retrain them, then match them up with the right adopter. From foals, through competition horses to the elderly horse, we offer food, shelter, vet care and most of all, love and compassion. Please join us!
Can anyone adopt from Forgotten Horses Rescue? Forgotten Horses Rescue, Inc reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone for any reason.
I really like the mare I adopted! Can I breed her? All horses are adopted with a no breeding clause in their adoption contract.
Will I get the papers if the horse I adopt has them? Forgotten Horses Rescue, Inc does not send horses’ papers with them when adopted.
What happens if I no longer want the horse or if I can no longer care for the horse? If for any reason the adopted horse is not wanted, at any time, the horse must be returned to Forgotten Horses Rescue, Inc.
